Relaxbirth® is a unique innovation, a combination of method, birthing support, know-how and training. The birthing support shall be used during the whole labour. The Relaxbirth method is one of the Finnish top innovations in the health care sector; it improves wellbeing at childbirth. The feedback from women having had the opportunity for a labour with Relaxbirth have been extremely positive.
Proof of Concept and News
The ergonomic and usability report of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health for Relaxbirth was published in Jan 2010.
The Relaxbirth birthing support can be seen and tested by visitors of the Child Fair from 27th to 29th of April 2012 in the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. See link.
Relaxbirth Ltd. will participate the Swedish midwifery conference Svenska Barnmorskeförbundets 100-year Jubiläumskonferens that is held in 25.-27.5.2011 in Stockholm. See PDF and link.
Awards
The European Woman Inventors and Innovators Network voted Relaxbirth the winner in EUWIIN 09 competition. The inventor and developer of Relaxbirth method and birthing support, SRN-midwife Eija Pessinen, was elected as the Overall winner as Inventor of the year 2009. The EUWIIN competition is held every second year.
Relaxbirth Ltd. also received an honorary mention of Helsinki city in the InnoFinland-09 Uusimaa-county competition.
